My Lunch with Deval Patrick

Upon my return to Cambridge after a fantastic visit to my family in Minnesota, I was greeted with an exciting proposition.

Apparently, a friend of mine recently attended a silent auction to benefit some program that allows Harvard law students to do summer work at Legal Aid bureaus which otherwise wouldn't be able to afford them. At the event he bid on, and won, a lunch with Deval Patrick. The actual item at the auction was a lunch for six with Deval at the Harvest Restaurant (ooo, shee-shee) in Havard Square. Knowing what a Deval-nut I am, he shot an invite my way.

I'm not sure exactly what the format of the meal will be, whether a free-form conversation with all in attendance or a structured dialogue moderated by the professor who donated the lunch and will be there as well -- for some reason I was required to submit a copy of my resume so that the prof. could "make connections" according to my friend...whatever that means.

The question I have for you, my readers (assuming the hits I get are from real people and not just my parents over-and-over again), is what should I discuss with Deval assuming I'm given any opportunity to direct the conversation? Obviously I'm already committed to Deval and know he is the best chance the Democrats have for winning the corner office. So I don't need him to convince me to vote for him.

I'm real interested in the Universal Health Care bill -- specifically how it affects his campaign which made the issue a cornerstone when he released a comprehensive plan last fall. How would he improve the bill? Specifically, how will he as governor ensure that the act, which I believe gives too much power to private insurance companies, truly and effectively guarantees low-cost private coverage?

Any other thoughts? If you give me suggestions I'll post a full synopsis here after the lunch on Friday.
