News Blog tears Curtatone a new one
One of my favorite internet activities is reading the Somerville News blog, not only for their biting commentary ("Politics, paranoid people, retreads and staying above the fray"), but also for the fact that they actually scoop their Herald-owned competition on a pretty regular basis (though, now that I think about it, maybe this is because The Somerville News is released on Wednesday while the Somerville Journal comes out on Thursday). The best part of the blog, however, is not in the articles they post but the crazy people like "Mrs. McCarthy," "The Mole," and Ron Newman (only one who, presumably, uses his real name).
Today I really got a kick of out the following comment left by "Mrs. McCarthy" on a posting that really had nothing to do with it (Doug Foy in Somerville? Fuckin' awesome.) If you've followed the traffic saga in Somerville over the last two years since Mayor Curtatone took office, you'll know what this is about...
Overheard in Dunkin on Elm Street in Davis yesterday:
"How's everything at City Hall?"
"Oh, you know. Same old, same old."
"Oh, ya? Well you tell "Tickets Curtatone" he'll never get my vote again. This shit's out of control."
Tickets Curtatone!!!!!!!!!! I love that.
