TODAY: Rally for Immigration Reform
One of my colleagues here in Somerville has been a key planner in the Boston Rally for Immigration which is scheduled for 4:00 this evening to coincide with the National Day of Action. I unfortunately have a 5:30 meeting, but am hoping to make it to Copley Square for the latter half of the event. At any rate, it's critical that we have a huge turn out here in Boston and around the country to send a strong message to D.C. that we oppose immigrant scapgoating. Instead, we need real, comprehensive immigration reform that provides undocumented workers who are the backbone of the U.S. economy with a path to legalization with full rights and protections that entails.
