Afro-Wearing Man Robs Somerville Bank
Strange things are happening with cash in Somerville lately. First there was the stolen Traffic Department money in December then the recent $31,000 that the Somerville Police sent to a garbage dump in New Hampshire. Now, CBS4 reports that:
Police in Somerville are looking for a bank robber with an unusual choice of disguise.
A man walked into the Sovereign Bank on Broadway Monday afternoon wearing a large afro wig and dark sunglasses.
If you take a close look at photo stills from the survelliance camera, it seems to me that the robber is a white guy. Clearly the large afro is a wig.This reminds me of a Carlos Mencia standup act I saw last night when the comedian is joking about disguises for holding up convenience stores. At one point Mencia, who is Latino, puts a pair of panty hose over his head an pulls them so tight that his eyes and nose point up making him look uncannily Korean.
Maybe the Somerville theif watched the same Comedy Central special as me last night.
