Barrios is In!
According to photographic evidence from Neil McCabe over at The Alewife, Senator Jarett Barrios has officially submitted signatures to the Secretary of the Commonweath's office to appear as a candidate for re-election. Of course we've known for weeks now that he was out of the DA's race and heading for a re-election fight, but this act makes it official. I suppose there's no telling yet if he has the required 300 signatures from registered Democrats, but given his popularity and incumbency I'd be surprised if not.
Then again, that didn't help Dianne Wilkerson.
At any rate, I know this isn't huge news but with this act we now have the official beginning of Barrios v. Galluccio, round II. I can't wait for this race to heat up.
