PHOTOS: Boston Immigration Rally

I don't think very many people realized that there was another rally on the Commons Wednesday in favor of fair immigration reform. Maybe it's an old story, or people are just tired from the two or three previous rallies in the last month, but this one was pretty sparsely attended. I think we even had more people at Foss Park in Somerville on May 1st.

Despite the muted attendance, those that were there still displayed a strong sense of passion and urgency for equitable immigration reform. The program also highlighted other critical related issues, like the Dream Act legislation which was voted down in the State House earlier this year. This legislation would allow non-citizen residents who attended three years of high school in Massachusetts to receive the same in state tuition rates as their classmates at public colleges within the Commonwealth.

Posted below are a few of my favorite pictures from the rally, but I have a full Flickr photo stream set up with a few more.
