View from the 'Bridge Endorses Macy's Protest

View from the 'Bridge officially endorses the QueerToday protest of Macy's, scheduled for this Sunday, June 11th at 10:00 A.M. at the Macy's store in Downtown Crossing. I whole-heartedly agree with the demand the make of Macy's, for a real apology from the department store for giving in to the demands of a fringe organization like MassResistance. Mark of QueerToday writes:

We do not want watered down public relations sound bites. We want a real apology and an admission of wrongdoing. While the removal of the mannequins was severely offensive, the removal and return of the AIDS Action Committee web url was a direct slap in the face to our community during the 25th anniversary of the discovery of AIDS.

With a huge turnout at the store on Sunday, we can show the department store and the rest of the Commonwealth that our side actually has mass support, and give real meaning to the description of MassResistance as "fringe group."
