Perhaps it's Time to Introduce Tom Reilly

Corey Welford, spokesman for the Tom Reilly campaign, seems to have a favorite line.

Back in April, when the Deval Patrick campaign hired Ron Bell as Deputy Campaign Manager with the hopes of increasing Patrick's support among African-American voters, Welford told the Globe:

"Tom needs no introduction in any communities," Welford said. "He's worked with them; he's produced for them. People know he's been there for them, and that's what he'll do as governor."

Again just earlier this month, when the Patrick campaign announced the opening of a Dorchester satellite campaign office, Welford again told the Globe:

"Tom Reilly needs no introduction to the people of Dorchester. He has a record for fighting on their side that his opponents simply can't manage."

Looking at the SurveyUSA Election Poll released earlier this week, Tom Reilly leads in just ONE of the 27 identified demographic categories. That is, 41% of Hispanics prefer him to 38% for Patrick and 19% for Chris Gabrielli. Furthermore he leads Patrick in just two other categories, "No College" and "<$40K," both of which he still loses to Gabrielli.

It seems at this point the Reilly campaign may want to think about begining to introduce their candidate to a few communities...
