Anarchy in the People’s Republic?
According to the Cambridge Chronicle, we have no Mayor in Cambridge! Of course, it makes little difference because the mayor is mostly just a ceremonial position while the appointed City Manager holds executive power. Still, the vote breakdown suggests some divisions among the nine councilors who pick the mayor from amongst their own.

Yep, that’s 6 of 9 councilors who received votes. Basically, they all just voted for themselves. Interestingly, last term’s mayor, Ken Reeves received just one vote — if I remember correctly, his election last time was secured with the support of former councilors Galluccio and Sullivan.
If I had a vote in this matter, I’d be with Denise Simmons.
