New Website Lists Moi as an Expert(!?)

Wednesday, October 25th, 2006

For the last few weeks I’ve noticed a strange referral link in my web stats, from a strange website at http://www.outside.in. I had tried to visit the link a few times, but it required a password to view anything.

Then yesterday I got an email from a guy named Steve, announcing the launching of a new website called, Outside.in. According to his message:

Our vision for the site is this: You sit at a computer and type in a street address, or a neighborhood name, or a zip code…and within seconds the screen gives you a glimpse of all the textured, real-world issues and conversations and news unfolding in the location you’ve entered. Up to now, only the most connected local experts in any neighborhood could keep up with all these evolving conversations. outside.in is designed to let you see it all in seconds.

Taking a look at the site, it looks like Shai Sachs’ Blog for Cambridge, The Alewife, and myself are listed as the local Cambridge area blogs. I’m glad to be included on this new site at such an early stage, and want to encourage people to take a look.

But this all begs the question… When in the hell did I become one of the “most connected local experts” in Cambridge!?
